Parent terms and conditions
Last updated 14 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Tap Tuition to find or book a teacher for your child. Please read them before you book. Questions? Email support@taptuition.com.
1. Who we are
Tap Tuition (taptuition.com) is run by KRH Trading FZ-LLC ("Tap Tuition", "we", "us"), a free zone company licensed by the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone Authority (RAKEZ), licence no. 45006093. Registered address: VUET0267, Compass Building, Al Hulaila Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. By creating an account or making a booking you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. What Tap Tuition is
Tap Tuition is an online marketplace that introduces families to independent teachers. We are not a school or tuition centre, we do not employ teachers, we do not teach, and we do not take tuition fees. Your agreement for each lesson is directly with the teacher. We are not approved by or affiliated with KHDA or any other education authority.
3. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 and be the parent or legal guardian of any child you add, or have lawful authority to arrange tuition for them. Children must not create accounts. Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Free for parents, paying teachers directly
Searching, booking and managing lessons is free. We charge parents no commission. You pay the teacher directly, in the way you and the teacher agree, at the price shown at booking. Never put card details or other payment details in lesson notes or messages.
5. Teacher checks
Before a profile goes live we review documents the teacher gives us, such as a teaching qualification, identity and a UAE private tuition work permit. A badge means we saw that document. It is not a criminal-record check, a government certification, or a promise about safety, teaching quality or results. Please make your own decision about each teacher. We may hide or remove a profile at any time.
6. Booking
Choose a subject (or several), a format and a time, check the summary, then confirm. A booking is confirmed when the platform shows the confirmation. Bookings start from the next calendar day, UAE time. The total price, durations and any other charges must be shown at booking, and the teacher cannot raise the agreed total for the same lesson without your agreement.
7. Free 15-minute online consultation
Some teachers choose to offer a short free video introduction before booking paid lessons.
- It is always free, always online, and never a paid or trial lesson. No payment details are asked for.
- You choose your child and one of the times the teacher has set aside for consultations. It is confirmed immediately and can start from the next calendar day, UAE time.
- Each child can have one consultation with each teacher. If it is cancelled, or does not take place because of the teacher, you can book another.
- If you cancel, the time is released for others. Please cancel at least 24 hours ahead. There is no fee for a free consultation, but repeated no-shows may lead us to restrict this feature.
- A parent or guardian should be present or immediately available, and the consultation must not be recorded.
- Use only the meeting link we send you. You can add a short optional note. Please do not include sensitive details about your child.
8. Cancelling and rescheduling lessons
You can cancel or reschedule from your bookings page. Please give at least 24 hours' notice, measured from the start of the whole booking, not each subject. If you cancel later or do not attend, the teacher may ask for a late-cancellation or no-show amount only if they told you before you booked. Tap Tuition does not collect or enforce lesson charges. If a teacher cancels or does not deliver the lesson, you should not be charged for it. Refunds and disagreements about lesson fees are between you and the teacher, and we will help you get in touch.
9. Safety
You are responsible for your child's safety and supervision around lessons. For online lessons, use only the link provided and stay nearby. For in-person lessons, you choose the location and we strongly recommend an adult is at home throughout. Do not arrange private, unsupervised meetings between a teacher and your child outside agreed tuition. If a child is in immediate danger, call UAE Police on 999. Other concerns: see our Safeguarding Policy.
10. No recording
Do not record, photograph, screen-record or livestream any lesson or consultation, and do not share a teacher's lesson link or personal contact details with anyone else. Tap Tuition has no recording feature.
11. Children's information
You may add a child's first name, year group and learning needs so teachers can prepare. Add only what is needed. Do not add surnames, dates of birth, photographs, health details or other sensitive information in free-text fields. Teachers' lesson notes are their own opinion, not an assessment by Tap Tuition.
12. Your information
We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. We share with a teacher only what they need to deliver your booking or consultation. We do not sell your data. Email support@taptuition.com to see, correct or delete your data.
13. Accounts and fair use
You sign in with a code sent to your email address. Keep it private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. Do not give false information, harass or discriminate against teachers, copy the site or interfere with how it works. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
14. Tap Create
Teachers may use Tap Create, an AI tool, to prepare follow-up worksheets or practice activities. The teacher checks each one before sharing it with you and stays responsible for its suitability and accuracy.
15. Our responsibility
We take reasonable care to run the platform but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We are not responsible for the quality, safety or outcome of lessons or for what teachers say or do, but we take concerns seriously and act on them. Nothing here limits your rights under UAE consumer law or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, deliberate wrongdoing or gross negligence.
16. Complaints
Email support@taptuition.com with your booking reference. We aim to reply within three working days. You may also contact the relevant UAE consumer protection authority.
17. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will show the effective date. We will give notice of material changes and ask for your agreement again where the law requires. These terms are governed by UAE law as applied in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and the courts of Ras Al Khaimah have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rules.
